What We’re Reading: November 2021

It’s been a while since we checked in to see what the Literary League team is reading, but never fear…our November picks are here! We pride ourselves on reading a variety of books throughout the year, and this month the team is reading so many different books! Essay collections, rom-coms, fantasies, and more!

Gabi LePage, Founder

I’m picking up The Dutch House by Ann Patchett. I've put this one off for ages(!) after picking up a signed copy two years ago. This feels like the perfect familial story for a chilly fall month.

Lizzy Schmitter, Designer

This month, I plan on ready All the Lonely People by Mike Gayle. This one has been on a ton of favorites lists, and I can't wait to see what all the hype is about!

Carly Radiske, Email Marketing Strategist

I’m going to be reading A Shadow in the Ember by Jennifer L. Armentrout. I'm currently wrapping up the From Blood and Ash series and realized she just published a prequel! So I'm excited to see what other stories will be told in the world she created.

Alexis Neuville, Editor

This month I’ll be picking up The Ex Hex by Erin Sterling. I’ve heard so many fantastic things about this, and I think it will give me a healthy dose of two of my favorite things: fantasy books and rom-coms!

Michelle Martin, Community Manager

These Precious Days by Ann Patchett. Ann Patchett is one of my favorite authors, and I'm looking forward to reading her collection of essays this month. I read the title essay in Harper's Magazine earlier this year and it was such a fun teaser!

Mackenzie Leavenworth, Outreach Manager

Just Haven’t Met You Yet by Sophie Cousens. I’m so excited for the next novel from the author of our December 2020 pick, This Time Next Year! This travel-based rom-com of missing luggage and epic mishaps seems perfect for those who love the genre!

Taryn Dennie, Social Media Manager

I’m reading Mom Jeans And Other Mistakes by Alexa Martin. After reading all the spooky books in October, I’m so excited to pick up this lighter story about friendship.

Renee Watson, Digital Host

The Gilded Cage by Lynette Noni is sitting on top of my TBR for November. The first book in this series was seriously twisty and I hope that this one is also!
