What We’re Reading: February 2021

A brand new month, so we have some brand new reads from the team! January was a great month for us in terms of reading—we read so many great books! See what our team is reading in February, and be sure to add these to your TBR pile!

Gabi LePage, Founder

The Memory Theater by Karin Tidbeck sounds completely different from what I typically read, so I'm looking forward to a change of pace for February!

Lizzy Schmitter, Designer

I’ve been in a huge fantasy mood and House of Earth and Blood (Crescent City #1) by Sarah J. Maas is loved by a ton of people!

Taryn Dennie, Social Media Manager

I’ve wanted to read Little Gods by Meng Jin for such a long time, so I’m finally making time for it in February.

Carly Radiske, Email Marketing Manager

I'm going to be reading A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J Maas. Absolutely devoured the first two, so I'm really excited to read the third book in the series!

Alexis Neuville, Editor

I’ve been on a rom-com kick lately, and The Ex Talk by Rachel Lynn Solomon was released last month and has been at the top of my TBR ever since!

Michelle Martin, Community Manager

I'm looking forward to reading We Can Only Save Ourselves by Alison Wisdom. It's a coming-of-age story infused with whispers of cults, and I love that in a story!

Mackenzie Leavenworth, Outreach Manager

I'm excited to read No One is Talking About This by Patricia Lockwood. Priestdaddy was one of my favorite reads of 2020, so I immediately pre-ordered Lockwood's newest book when it was announced! This book is being hailed as "a love letter to the endless scroll and a profound, modern meditation on love, language, and human connection from a singular voice in American literature."

Renee Watson, Digital Host

I’m very excited to read The Mask Falling by Samantha Shannon. The entire series is excellent and the adventure continues in the next installment of this fantasy series! I hear there is a deadly cliffhanger at the end!
